Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić attends an Annual World Economic forum in Davos, this year gathering about 3.500 participants, among whom 65 heads of states and governments and about 40 heads of international agencies. 

Chairman Zvizdić attended today an informal meeting of the world economic leaders titled “Tipping Point or Turning Point for Europe”, which discussed a need for strengthening the EU and establishing foreign policy priorities of the European Union.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers attended the address by Secretary-General of UN Antonio Guterres, who stressed, among other things, that one of the UN aims will be the improvement of capacities with the less developed assistance-needing member-countries to attract higher quality investments in order to advance their economic development.

Chairman Zvizdić also attended a panel “New Incitements for Europe”, with Prime Ministers of Poland, Netherlands, Spain and European Commissioner for Trade Sesilia Malstorm, as the panellists, in addition to an address by Austrian Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz.

At the margins of the World Economic Forum, Chairman Zvizdić met with Prime Minister of Macedonia Zoran Zaev, and congratulated him for the achieved success in changing the name of his state. He said that the citizens of Macedonia chose the right way to approaching the EU and NATO Alliance.

Chairman Zvizidć met with Marian Šarec, Prime Minister of Slovenia, when the two confirmed the continuation of good cooperation of the two states.

This year’s World Economic Forum was planned to feature about 350 sessions, and participants should speak about a broad range of topics, from global economy to climate crisis.
