The discussed the economic development, perspectives for the youth and cooperation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Institutions and the Brčko District of BIH on development and infrastructure projects.

Chairman Zvizdić said the Brčko District may serve as a good example and paradigm of presented affirmative political will, good cooperation among political actors, people and citizens for the aim of finding the best solutions for development of the Brčko District and boosting its economic and social capacities, including the increase of living standard of all citizens, especially the youth. He stressed that the issue of young people leaving the country is the major macro-economic problem faced by Bosnia and Herzegovina. He added that the focus of institutional activities is to create a positive environment within Bosnia and Herzegovina to enable economic development, thus making the young, educated people with high quality skills remain in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting discussed a Brčko by-pass and bridge on the Sava River in Brčko, which is also the BIH-Croatia border-crossing.

“One of relevant elements of economic development is the infrastructure, which should receive the highest attention. The Brčko District is at a good position and should be a part in development of BIH infrastructure network, especially in regard to construction of motorways, fast roads and, certainly, further development of the Brčko Port, which may be an important facility within the Danube Initiative or a link with almost 16 counties of the Central Europe to be connected through the Danube and Sava Rivers”, Chairman Zvizdić said.
