At the margins of the 52nd Munich Security Conference, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić held bilateral meetings with Presidents of Slovenia and Macedonia, Borut Pahor and Đorđe Ivanov, respectively, and with Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Đukanović. 

President Pahor congratulated to Bosnia and Herzegovina submission of an application for membership in the European Union, saying that the Republic of Slovenia stands to support Bosnia and Herzegovina on its road to towards the European Union. He said that he will support an idea in all institutions to consider and accept the application and that BIH takes a step further in the European integrations.

Chairman Zvizdić and President of Macedonia Ivanov exchanged views on the importance of regional cooperation, and agreed that the joint interest of both states is the Adriatic-Ionian motorway, as a core transport direction to connect six countries, and that such type of connectedness represents a key project which should get on importance even more in the period of time to come.

During talks with Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Đukanović, Chairman Zvizdić said he is pleased with an invitation to Montenegro to join NATO, emphasising that such step would be important for the stability of the whole region. Prime Minister Đukanović congratulated to Chairman Zvizdić the fulfilment of all requirements for filling an application for membership in the European Union, which should take place on Monday, February 15, 2016. They agreed that BIH and Montenegro enjoy excellent cooperation, which may be further improved in the period to come.

Meetings with Advisor of German Chancellor Angela Merkel for Foreign and Security Policy Chistoph Heusgen, with High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, and with European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn were scheduled for this afternoon.
